The world is changing — and COVID-19 is no longer a main focus. In fact, there’s a much bigger problems to be solved: Bring back the economy up! Small businesses are the backbone of any economy. In US small businesses alone comprise 47.5% of the country’s total employee workforce. It is estimated that around 9% of all small businesses in US are black-owned business and around 39% are women-owned business.

COVID-19 and to an extent the recent traction in the #BlackLivesMatter movement has got us thinking. We believe this is the right time to start doing anything we can to stop the systemic racism and America’s violent history of oppressing the Black community as well as finding ways to help local business to come out of the economic crisis due to pandemic situation.

We are not against the big and medium businesses, but such large enterprises have a tendency of oppressing small businesses and putting a heavy burden on low-income communities. Just as example, Amazon’s presence in Seattle, Washington caused rising housing costs and pushed out local mom-and-pop shops.

Empowering Black Owned Business & Women Owned Business

We know holistic sustainability is impossible without the inclusion of all. Lage enterprises are necessary for economic growth of country. But at the same time, one should not ignore or dispute the contribution of small business in the up rise of the communities and the country. A new report shows that small businesses account for 44% of U.S. economic activity.

Supporting women, black and other under-represented communities means seeing them as equals and experts and by not assuming their skills, services, and creations are less than anything in any way, which has been the common narrative when discussing supporting ideas, creativity, and business lead by people of color or women. We believe all are equal and have to bring racism and gender-bais to an end immediately.

Supporting Black-owned Business & Women-owned Business

Over the past few weeks, our partners have been asking how we can support black-owned businesses and women-owned businesses. We are still finding ways how we can contribute positively to create an impact. But in the meantime, we can all look to remove barriers for women entrepreneurs and black entrepreneurs in our own work and life. They do not seek charity, they want fairness in the process and access to resources where they are not restricted based on gender or ethnic background.

Diversity builds economic vitality, uplifts communities, and promotes productivity and resilience. We are dedicated to uplifting women, people of color, and under-represented groups in the digital world.

We’re available for a full engagement with black entrepreneurs, startups and women led businesses in every digital avenue of going from striving to thriving. We are not about supporting for the sake of supporting — it’s about doing better business and creating a better community. To begin building toward that fairness, we are offering women-owned, black-owned businesses & startups the following:

Mentoring

According to SBA Office of Advocacy, only half of all small businesses survive more than five years and about 10-12 percent of all employee-based firms close each year.

Because starting an online journey can be overwhelming, as mentor we can help to navigate the complex challenges that often come with being a business owner. There are many factors involved in business startup, from dynamic web design to cutting-edge digital marketing strategies and custom solutions.
